The Lung Cancer Research Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused solely on supporting lung cancer research. Our mission is to improve and save lives by funding groundbreaking research for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of lung cancer.

In 2015, the original Lung Cancer Research Foundation and Uniting Against Lung Cancer merged to form the Foundation as it is today.

Both organizations were born out of personal connections to the disease and a belief that innovative research is key to ridding the world of lung cancer. Since inception, LCRF and UALC have funded hundreds of grants across the spectrum of basic, clinical and translational research at leading medical institutions around the world. As a result of this funding, grant recipients have received significant follow-on funding from the National Cancer Institute/National Institutes of Health and American Cancer Society, among others.

With strong individual track records of funding lung cancer research, the organizations can now combine their expertise, resources and networks to have an even greater impact on the disease.
